You see, back on scratch, Madness Combat related things were the seeds to a whole league of tricky rip-off metagamers.
So originally, before making an account on Newgrounds, I hated it with a passion, and made fun of the people that think that just because they exported the spritesheet from a madness combat character that they don’t have to try to win or some crap.
I still discourage that, and I’m annoyed by the people that actually do that and think themselves to be invincible for that sole reason, but my viewpoints upon the actual Madness Combat ‘franchise(?)’ have changed.
Those guys that made this hit are amazing animators, they hold zero quarter on the violence of their movies, and they make characters like Hank or Tricky, who I hated most (due to the fact that the clown demon was quite possibly the most commonly used metagaming template on the entire site), seem fun.
I enjoy that sort of stuff, and the music that comes with it is just as chaotic and amazing.
So while my viewpoint on it’s metagaming ripoffs remains the same and probably always will, I’ve some to enjoy Madness Combat as a whole.
Also I wanna take a crack at it sometime honestly, maybe for the Madness Day thing I’ve heard about? I don’t have Adobe Flash but I can make smooth animation on Turbowarp to a degree, so honestly I’m down for it.
Keep up the work, I enjoy watching the absolute chaos MC brings to my eyes :)

This is exactly what I meant when I said on scratch, they make bootlegs that never surpass the originals. Newgrounds always makes either originals or homages to popular franchises.
I'm gonna make a news post going more in depth about this so keep your eyes peeled for that.
I'm glad we can both agree with how much more original Newgrounds is than scratch.
